Penn State practice update and not-so-subtle message from Franklin

Last night Penn State head coach James Franklin spoke with the media about the team’s progress through the week and what he expects from Illinois this weekend. When discussing freshman linebacker Anthony Speca, Franklin diverted into a recruiting pitch for players at Speca’s former school, Pittsburgh Central Catholic.

Who was Franklin speaking to? Our experts, Ryan Snyder and Sean Fitz, decode the message and who it was aimed at. Next, we’ll give you a glimpse into our view of Penn State practice from Wednesday night and what we learned from the event.
