Penn State football recruiting is in a dead period, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t news flying around the recruiting world. So far, the team has earned three commitments during the dead period and may be on their way to more. Recruiting insider Ryan Snyder is back and delivers the freshest news on the football team’s efforts in 2025 and beyond on today’s show.

Penn State ready to flip a target?

On3 national recruiting expert Steve Wiltfong put in a pick for Penn State to land four-star linebacker Cam Smith this week. The Duke commit has was a target for the Lions during the early portion of the 2025 recruiting cycle, but made a surprise decision to follow former Penn State defensive coordinator Manny Diaz to Duke, once Diaz accepted the job there. So what’s changed? Snyder discusses the situation.

Receiver recruiting offers more information

It’s not just that Penn State wide recevier recruiting in on the forefront of fan’s minds. There’s new information about the next crop of targets for the Nittany Lions in the back half of the 2025 cyle and beyond.

Snyder will discuss Utah wide receiver Jerome Myles and his top ten schools, plus the names emerging to join Lavar Keys and Jahsiear Rogers in 2026.

Speaking of those wide receivers, Snyder was on vacation for Koby Howard and Keys’ commitments to Penn State last week. He spoke with On3 Recruiting Director Charles Power about Howard and shares what Howard thinks about the Florida wideout. Snyder also dishes what he knows on Keys and the situation there.
