The Penn State Nittany Lions Football team faces Minnesota on the road for the team’s final away game of the 2024 regular season. Once again, the Gophers stand in Penn State’s way of a potential College Football Playoff berth with a stingy defense at home late in the year. What should fans know about the team and the matchup? We’ll discuss that, plus review which freshmen stood out during the team’s blowout win over Purdue last weekend.

Penn State tiebreaker scenarios for Big Ten Championship Game

In 2016, Penn State had an unlikely opportunity to make the Big Ten championship game. It required winning out and several other games to break its way in the final weeks of the season. Miraculously, that happened. So, could it happen again? The team is 9-1 heading into the final two weeks of the regular season, and we’ll start the show by discussing the tiebreaker scenarios that the team would need to win in order to secure a spot in Indianapolis.

Finally, we’ll review the end of the game between Penn State and Purdue. The Nittany Lions finally got its young talent on the field in a blowout, and we got our first extended look at some of the freshmen in the Class of 2024.
