Catching up on busy Penn State recruiting weekend
Penn State football opened up the floodgates on spring recruiting this weekend and invited over 50 players to campus to see the campus and spring practice. With all of that information flying around, the BWI Recruiting Show worked tirelessly over the weekend to secure information. They will share it with you today live at 10 am. If you want to know more about the future Nittany Lions the staff is targeting, join the show and ask your questions.
Penn State sending out a host of new offers
Today, we’ll discuss portions of Sean Fitz’s recruiting notebook from Sunday. Check out full breakdown here.
Penn State put out a bunch of new offers to visitors on Saturday. The most notable was to regional prospects in the 2024 class in offensive lineman Aidan Lynch and tight end Luke Reynolds. The Nittany Lions also gave out regional underclassman offers to 2025 defensive tackle Caleb Williams from Virginia and 2026 linebacker Daiveon Taylor from Bishop Canevin High School in Pittsburgh. It was the first offer for Taylor, who looks to be a player that will be able to play at this level. The Nittany Lions also offered pretty much the entire group from California that already did not hold an offer from the program.

Snyder also worked hard this weekend to give fans a simple list of players to follow on social media over the weekend. He gave you five. Here are a portion of his thoughts.

CB Jameer Grimsley
Penn State already has one cornerback committed in Philadelphia native Kenny Woseley, but with Daequan Hardy, Johnny Dixon and Storm Duck all entering their fourth or fifth year of college, plus Kalen King’s NFL potential, Terry Smith needs to stock up on cornerbacks this year.
The Mid-Atlantic doesn’t have an abundance of top targets this year, so Smith is going to have to go south again to find a player or two. Enter Jameer Grimsley. Listed at 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, Grimsley has the combination of size and speed that Smith covets.
Penn State also hosted a contingent from California that made the trip across the country for the second time this recruiting year. Learn more about where the team stands with the Cali contingent and how important it is to foster those relationships. Is the Rose Bowl win why we see a bump in interest? Fitz and Snyder discuss.
