Granville chooses Penn State for a very clear reason

Wiltfong outlines the conversations he had with the Granville family since the spring recruiting season started and he points to one main reason that the 6-2.5 edge rusher chose Penn State.

“He’s an NFL legacy and his father played in the NFL,” Wiltfong said. “I think what absolutely separated it for Penn State from the other schools when I first started talking to the Granville family in the spring – Proximity to home was one of the elements on the table. But the reason why Penn State wins out in the recruitment of Max Granville is a straight scheme fit. They just called the scheme amazing and the best among his top schools, to be honest.”

Wiltfong goes on to explain how Penn State’s ability to get players in the backfield was exciting for the Texas edge rusher. He also discussed what he thought of Granville as a football player. While he’s listed as a linebacker in the On3 database, his versatility, explosiveness, and violence all make him a chess piece on the field.
