Penn State football is coming off the bye week, which means that coaches had extra time to recruit last week. Various staff members were scattered all across the East Coast and Southeast, visiting committed and uncommitted prospects. The BWI Daily Edition Recruiting Show will recap the most intriguing player visits and give a preview of the White Out list shaping up for next week’s game. They’ll also discuss Penn State commits Anthony Donkoh and Alex Birchmeier, who played each other in a game that recruiting insider Ryan Snyder attended last Friday.

Penn State bye week coaching visit recap
It was a busy week of movement by coaches visiting prospects, so Fitz and Snyder picked the most exciting prospects to discuss on the show today. Penn State continues to trend in a specific direction for Edwin Joseph, and Fitz is now taking serious note of one JUCO lineman that Phil Trautwein visited this past week.
Anthony Donkoh vs Alex Birchmeier recap
After wrapping up player visits by the coaching staff, Snyder and Fitz discuss Snyder’s latest trip to see a Penn State commit play this fall. BWIs insider went to Virginia on Friday to see four-star offensive linemen Anthony Donkoh and Alex Birchmeier. The two seniors faced each other last week, and Snyder was on hand to witness the clash.
They start with Donkoh, who was recently upgraded to a four-star prospect by On3. How has he progressed since last season? Snyder has his observations about the video he put together, which you can see on YouTube. Donkoh is the rawest player of the three Penn State offensive line commits, but Fitz and Snyder see loads of potential.
