Penn State has hired former Indiana head coach Tom Allen to be its next defensive coordinator. Penn State and head coach James Franklin went in a similar path, hiring a defensive mind that likes to be aggressive, similar to what they lost in Manny Diaz when he became the Duke head coach earlier this year.
