Tyler Bowen is reportedly on the move. The former Penn State tight ends coach who most recently served as Brent Pry’s offensive coordinator at Virginia Tech for the last three seasons is taking a job on Ryan Day’s Ohio State staff, On3’s Pete Nakos reports.
It’s unclear exactly which role the Helena, Ga., native will fulfill in third Big Ten coaching stint. But, FootballScoop reports he will replace Justin Frye as the Buckeyes’ offensive line coach. Bowen has not coached that position since 2017 at Maryland. Frye left this offseason to take a job with the NFL’s Arizona Cardinals. Bowen left the Lions in in 2021 to spend a year with the Jacksonville Jaguars before reuniting with Pry in 2022.
It’s also worth noting that former Penn State quarterback Billy Fessler is expected to be promoted to the role of quarterbacks coach, per Lettermen Row.

A few bouts later, 157-pound sophomore Tyler Kasak took out then No. 1 Jacori Teemer 5-2 to earn Big Ten wrestler of the week honors.
