Former Penn State cornerback Cam Miller entered the NCAA transfer portal earlier this week. Now, he knows where he will play next. The Florida native is staying in the Big Ten by signing with Rutgers, On3’s Pete Nakos reports. Miller needed less than a week to switch states from Pennsylvania to New Jersey. He’s the third one-time Nittany Lion to find a new home for the 2025 season. Former Penn State tight end Jerry Cross is at Memphis. And, former quarterback Beau Pribula is now at Missouri.

Miller arrived at Penn State as a four-star recruit. He was fine throughout his career but was passed over for a starting spot in 2024. Still, he played the third most snaps of any Nittany Lions cornerback. In 2024, he had 27 tackles (4.5 for loss), a sack, and two quarterback hurries. Last year, he had 24 stops, three sacks, three pass breakups, and a forced fumble.

Penn State returns starting cornerback AJ Harris, Elliot Washington, Zion Tracy, and Audavion Collins, Jon Mitchell, and Kenny Woseley, among others, at cornerback in 2025.

More Penn State portal updates

Penn State has numerous players still in the portal. Two of them, receivers Omari Evans and Trey Wallace, are prepping to take visits. On3’s Pete Nakos reports Wallace will see Texas A&M Saturday and South Carolina Sunday. He is also working on taking trips to Louisville and North Carolina. On3’s Hayes Fawcett, meanwhile, reports Evans is initially looking into taking visits to Tennessee, Washington, Texas Tech, and Syracuse.
