Four-star WR Connor Salmin adds Penn State official visit to summer plans

Purcellville (Va.) wide receiver Connor Salmin, who will play his senior year at the Bullis School in Maryland this fall, has held Penn State in high regard during his recruitment so far. He was last on campus on Feb. 1 for a Junior Day and has taken five visits to Happy Valley since his first visit in November of 2023.
Now he has an official visit lined up with the Nittany Lions. Salmin announced on Tuesday evening that he’ll return to Penn State on the weekend of June 6-8. It’s his second official visit planned, as he’ll be at Clemson the weekend before on the weekend of May 30. Those two programs and Notre Dame have separated themselves from the pack, Salmin told BWI earlier this month. He went to check out the Fighting Irish for Junior Day in January as well.
“Right now, Clemson, Notre Dame and Penn State are standing out as the top schools in my recruitment,” Salmin admitted. “There are also several schools that are recruiting me that I’m not ready to take off of my list. I have the Clemson junior day scheduled for March 8th, and I will try to get to some spring practices if my track schedule allows.”
Connor Salmin a top target for Penn State
Penn State head coach James Franklin and safeties coach Anthony Poindexter dropped in on Salmin at his school on January 27, a few days after wide receivers coach Marques Hagans did an in-home visit. The Nittany Lions offered Salmin while he was on campus for a visit last April. He later returned in July to work out at camp.
