DL Deyvid Palepale sets three key visit dates, including return trip to Penn State
One of Pennsylvania’s most coveted prospects in the Class of 2024 knows when he’ll be back at Penn State. Since the start of 2023, Landisville resident Deyvid Palepale has seen his list of scholarship offers double, jumping from 11 to 23 offers in just a seven-week span in January and February.
The list of schools is impressive, too, with Auburn, Michigan, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma and Tennessee all making the move. But with Penn State offering Palepale back in September, the Nittany Lions already sit in a strong position due to his comfort level with the staff.
That relationship, which has been primarily with regional recruiter Ty Howle, is set to grow even more next month, as Palepale posted Saturday evening that he’s locked up a visit date with Penn State for April 11. It’ll be his first trip back to State College since attending the White Out win over Minnesota in October.

“I’d describe the White Out as one of a kind,” Palepale said. “Not too many crowds will cost you so many false starts. The audience was so into the game and you could hear the roars just echo.”
“Definitely how well everyone treated me,” he added. “From the recruiting guides to the coaches, even the shuttle drivers and the fans. Everyone was great. We’d be walking past the student section and they’re telling us to commit. The energy that everyone brought, it stood out to us.”

But Penn State won’t be the only school Palepale checks out in the coming weeks. This upcoming Saturday will be the first of three visits for the 6-foot-2, 305-pound interior defensive lineman when he goes to Pitt. A trip to Michigan has also been set for the following Friday, April 7. Both trips will be his first to each school.
So far, Palepale has visited four other schools in Louisville, Maryland, Rutgers and Temple. The trip to Penn State will be his fourth to University Park. That’s the most for any school so far.
Palepale holds a high three-star rating with a grade of 89 overall. He’s currently the 10th-ranked prospect in Pennsylvania and the 40th-ranked defensive tackle.
