How to follow Penn State wrestling signees, commit, at the PIAA championships: Schedule, bracket info, more

Three future Penn State wrestlers will be in action this weekend at the PIAA Championships. They start today at the Giant Center in Hershey.
One future Lion set to compete in the PIAA Class 2A tournament
Sam Herring, a junior from Bishop McCort in Johnstown, is the lone future Lion competing in the Pennsylvania Class 2A tournament. He is the two-seed at 139 pounds. The Penn State Class of 2026 commit’s time in Chocolatetown will start opposite the winner of a pigtail round bout between Saucon Valley senior Hector Mateo and Berlin Brothersvalley junior Braden Durst on Friday morning. Herring enters the state tournament with a record of 46-4, per PA-Wrestling.com. He is competing in his first PIAA tournament after winning a District 6 title earlier this year.
Two future Penn State wrestlers are entered in the PIAA Class 3A tournament
Senior Dalton Perry from Central Mountain is the top seed at 145 pounds and will face the winner of a pigtail bout between Methacton senior Ryan Hayes and Notre Dame Green Pond junior Jordan Gonzalez on Friday afternoon. Perry, a Class of 2025 signee, is a three-time District 6 champ with a career record of 158-15, per PA-Wrestling.com. He is 39-3 in his final prep season. So far, he has finished first, second, and third at states, with his lone title coming as a freshman at 126 pounds.
Senior Class of 2025 signee Asher Cunningham from State College Area is the top seed at 172 pounds. He will face the winner of a pigtail bout between Emmaus junior Xayden Sallit and Methacton senior Matty Shumaker on Friday afternoon. Cunningham is a four-time District 6 champ and won states at 160 pounds last season.
