How to watch Penn State basketball host Ohio State

Penn State head coach Mike Rhoades found a win, even in a loss. Coming off an 81-75 overtime defeat at Maryland on Wednesday night to start Big Ten play, the Nittany Lions extended their losing streak to five games.
But, in the process, a team that was admittedly embarrassed by its result to Bucknell last Saturday found a badly needed spark of competitiveness.
“I told them after the game, they were disappointed in the result, of course, but super proud of their effort,” Rhoades said on his weekly radio show. “I thought we had two very good days of practice after a game against Bucknell that was just unacceptable. But I was very proud of the way we responded. How we stuck together last night at Maryland, a tough place to play in the Big Ten. And we gave ourselves the chance to win.
“That’s sort of what you want your team to do every night. Give yourself a chance to win and then find a way to win it. We didn’t find a way to win it, but I was just very, very proud of our effort, our approach, how we stuck together. A step in the right direction. Not the result we wanted, but a step in the right direction for sure.”

Penn State injury updates
- After missing the Bucknell game last Saturday, in street clothes for the afternoon, Demetrius Lilley was back in action on Wednesday evening at Maryland. His contribution was eight minutes off the bench, scoring two points and adding two rebounds.
“Great effort,” said Rhoades. “He got some offensive rebounds. Got the put back. He drew three fouls in his minutes in the game. And he was just another physical body… He moves really well. I thought his ball screen defense was very good in the game. Now we’re going to need that as we move forward. Meech just needs to get these minutes and he was very productive. (It) was huge for him and for us.” - Favour Aire remains on the mend with a broken finger. Though Aire’s cast has come off, Rhoades indicated that he doesn’t know when the transfer center will be available to play, but said on his weekly radio show he hoped to have Fave back “soon.” He has not appeared in any games so far this season.
