Penn State kicks off its 65th season at Beaver Stadium today. The Nittany Lions are 122-13-1 all-time in home openers, 54-10 in their first game of the year at the 107,000-seat venue, and winners of 20 of their last 22 initial home games. After beating West Virginia on the road in Week 1, head coach James Franklin’s team hosts Bowling Green in Week 2.

“I would say looking at their team in general, they’re a bigger, more physical team than what I anticipated,” Franklin said this week. “You look at them on film but also their numbers, they’re a big, physical group. This is a team that’s going to play combination and odd and even front.”
