How to watch Penn State football opposite Central Michigan: Time, channel, streaming info, and more
Penn State returns to Beaver Stadium on Saturday for the second time this season. The Lions battle Central Michigan in their final non-conference matchup of the year. The home side will be a prohibitive favorite. And, while this marks the first meeting between the two sides in years, the coaches on both sidelines have crossed paths before.
“Very familiar,” Penn State coach James Franklin said of Chippewas’ leader Jim McElwain. “He’s a long-term coach, a longtime coach. Seasoned coach. Head coach, coordinator, kind of all over the country. He’s a Northwest guy. I kind of have ties to that tree. Their defensive coordinator I know very well, known for a long time. So yeah, I know them well from his time in the SEC, my time in the SEC.
“I think he’s got a really good veteran staff. I think they’re very well-coached. You look at their offensive coordinator, and that’s a football family with the Petrinos and they do a good job. So, it will be a challenge.”
If you won’t be in State College on Saturday, here’s how you can watch the matchup.
Central Michigan at Penn State: Game time, details
Penn State won the first meeting in this series 40-3 back in 2005 at Beaver Stadium. The Lions have played many Mid-American Conference foes multiple times over the years. But, this is only their second matchup with the school based in Mt. Pleasant, Mich.
