Penn State opens the November portion of its schedule Saturday when the Lions face Indiana. It marks the Lions first road trip in a couple of weeks. Head coach James Franklin’s team is a massive favorite before kickoff.
“When you get into Indiana and Tom Allen on the road, obviously got to know Tom really well since he joined the league,” Penn State coach James Franklin said. “Have a ton of respect for him. Good man, good person, good coach.”
Added Indiana coach Tom Allen in his own news conference:
“Very excited about this weekend, any time you have a chance to play one of the best teams in the country. Awesome thing to have them here at home. Coach Franklin continues to do a tremendous job at Penn State.
“Very talented football team in all three phases. Have to find a way to do our very, very best to come out with the win on Saturday. Very talented football team that’s coming to Bloomington. Excited to see what they can draw out of us in a positive way.”

Penn State holds a 23-2 all-time advantage since the two sides first met in 1993. It has a one-game winning streak currently. The Hoosiers last beat the Lions back in 2020 at home.
