How to watch Penn State football opposite Iowa: Time, channel, streaming info, and more
Penn State is set for its first top-25 matchup of the 2023 college football season. The No. 7 Nittany Lions welcome No. 24 Iowa to Beaver Stadium on Saturday for the annual White Out game. Kickoff is set for the new CBS Big Ten viewing window, which is being phased in this fall before becoming permanent in 2024.
“We need the fans to arrive early and be loud, have a full stadium before kickoff,” Lions coach James Franklin said Tuesday. Very similar to what we did at West Virginia. Obviously a ton of respect for the University of Iowa, their football program, the history and traditions there. Coach Ferentz has been there forever and done a phenomenal job. 34th year at Iowa, 25th as the head coach, which is very, very unusual in today’s college football, so it’s cool to see.”
Ferentz also spoke to reporters earlier in the week ahead of kickoff.
“As expected, Penn State is a really good football team,” Ferentz said. “Can’t remember a year where they weren’t talented. Certainly the case with this team. And they’re well-coached on top of it. They’ve done a great job recruiting. Take a lot of pride in that. And then they do a great job coaching in all three phases.
“It’s our first Big Ten game. Certainly it’s a challenge going on the road. It’s about as good as it gets in college football to play at State College. It’s a great football environment. And then throwing a Whiteout on top of it. We’ve been involved with one of those before. And in general terms, if you love college football, it’s one of the great venues and great experiences, great opportunity from that standpoint.”
