Penn State plays its third Big Ten Conference game of the season on Saturday when it visits Michigan. The Wolverines are the No. 5 team in the country. The Lions check in at No. 10. Both teams are have perfect records so far this season.
“Obviously got a ton of respect for Coach Harbaugh, for the university, for the program, for the venue,” Penn State coach James Franklin said this week.
“Should be a great atmosphere. I know our guys are looking forward to it and preparing for it. This is why you come to a place like Penn State, to play in these types of games.”

Michigan holds a 15-10 all-time advantage over Penn State. The series dates back to a 21-13 Wolverines win over the Lions in 1993 at Beaver Stadium. Head coach Jim Harbaugh’s side won the last meeting, which was in State College, last season. But, James Franklin’s team earned a win at Michigan Stadium in 2020. Before that, there were a few years when the home team dominated the stretch of games.

How to watch Penn State-Northwestern on TV, stream it
Penn State will be on FOX for the second time this season. The network also aired the Lions’ season-opening win at Purdue. However, that game aired in primetime on a Friday night. This one will be in FOX’s premiere television window, which is Saturday at Noon. The same crew will call the action, however: Gus Johnson (play-by-play), Joel Klatt (color commentary), and Jenny Taft (sideline reporter).
FOX Sports Live will stream the matchup online.
The Penn State Sports Network will also be on the radio airwaves with Steve Jones, Jack Ham, and Brian Tripp. It airs on 99.5 & 103.7 FM/1450 AM locally and at GoPSUSports.com online.
