How to watch Penn State football opposite Minnesota: Time, channel, streaming info, and more
Penn State returns to action on Saturday when it welcomes Minnesota for a primetime matchup. The Lions and Golden Gophers both enter the Big Ten crossover clash after losing last week. Both sides hope to prevent sliding in the standings any further.
“Minnesota wants to run the ball,” Penn State coach James Franklin said back on Tuesday. “They want to constrict the life out of the game in terms of time and possession, all those types of things. We’re going to have to be ready to defend the run and the play-action passes that come off it for them.
“They got a really, really productive back that they did a great job within their system. So that will be a challenge, no doubt about it. We are going to need to be ready. The corrections we made on Sunday from the previous game as well as getting prepared for what Minnesota is going to try to do obviously is going to be a big storyline in this game.”
Added Minnesota coach PJ Fleck in his own news conference:
“They’re Penn State. They’re really, really talented in every position, they’re big, they’re long, they’re physical, they got a lot of experience. James [Franklin] does such a great job. I have such respect for him and what he’s been able to accomplish. When you read what James has actually done there, it’s amazing.
“To stay at the top like that and to do what he’s done and the sustainability he’s had. It’s pretty impressive. So they’re really good football team. We’re studying as we speak right now.”
