How to watch Penn State football opposite Northwestern: Time, channel, streaming info, and more
Penn State plays its second Big Ten conference game of the season on Saturday when 1-3 Northwestern visits Beaver Stadium. The Lions are a large favorite prior to kickoff. They are in the midst of a four-game winning streak while the Wildcats have dropped three straight contests.
“The hallmark of my tenure here is that the teams that have continued to grind and work hard have improved and we’ve gotten better as the season has gone along,” Northwestern head coach Pat Fitzgerald told reporters this week. “There will be no flinch. There will be no anything besides right down the middle, going at it and attacking it every day with everything that we possibly have to win football games.”
Meanwhile, Penn State coach James Franklin spent most of his time this week fielding questions about his own team. But, he did address this weekend’s opponent in his opening statement.
“When you get to Northwestern, obviously it starts and ends with Pat Fitzgerald,” Franklin said. “Obviously a guy that’s had a significant impact, not only on Northwestern but on the Big Ten, as a player and as a coach. I’ve got a ton of respect for him.
“Obviously at home. It’ll be a challenge. Whenever you’re playing a Big Ten opponent, it’ll be a challenge. We’re looking forward to the opportunity.”
