How to watch Penn State football opposite UMass: Time, channel, streaming info, and more
No. 6 Penn State plays its sixth game of the season and first in October on Saturday. It welcomes Massachusetts to town this weekend. It marks the second meeting between the two sides and the first since 2014. The Minutemen (1-6) are a massive underdog for the non-conference showdown at Beaver Stadium.
“From a UMass perspective, Don Brown, the coach, I go way back with Don,” Lions coach James Franklin said on Tuesday. “Don was the defensive coordinator at Maryland when I was the offensive coordinator, so we’ve got history. Obviously been at Michigan and a ton of other places, as well. Well respected head coach as well as defensive coordinator.
UMass head coach Don Brown discussed his team’s trip to State College earlier this week.
“The place is going to be packed,” Brown said. “Going to be over 100,000 people there. And, got to be a big boy, and put your big boy pants on and go to work. It’s real simple. Focus your attention on the task at hand, and just stay in the fight for 60 minutes. And, that’s kind of the deal. That’s the approach you got to take. It’s not rocket science.
