Welcome back to game day, Penn State fans! The Nittany Lions hit the road today to take on Indiana. Both teams are aiming to bounce back after losing last week.

“That’s where we are,” Penn State coach James Franklin said this week. “On the road, a challenging situation. Got to get our guys ready, practice well, and go find a way to be 1-0 this week.”

Hoosiers coach Tom Allen also addressed the matchup.

“New team, new guys, new faces on both teams,” Allen said. “Great opportunity for our team. Any time you have a chance to play a top team in the country, that’s what you want to be able to do.

“Our guys have a big week ahead of us to prepare for that. Just got to find a way to continue to get better and finish games.”

Blue-White Illustrated will have daylong complete coverage from pregame posts to an in-game live updates blog and thread to everything you need to know once the clock strikes four zeroes late Saturday night.

To kick things off, gameday central catches you up on what you may have missed leading up to kickoff and also has all the details you need to know.

Weather report

A sun-splashed day does not appear to be in the forecast. The National Weather Service writes that during the day “Showers likely, mainly between 8am and 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 66. Chance of precipitation is 70%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.” Then, in the evening, it says: “A 30 percent chance of showers before 8pm. With a 3:30 p.m., start time, rain certainly seems likely. Weathe.com is also calling for rain and also possibly 15-25 mile per hour winds.
