Penn State-Michigan game day: Kick time, TV info, latest spread, stat leaders, more

Welcome back to Penn State game day!

The Nittany Lions return to Beaver Stadium today to face the Michigan Wolverines. It marks the first time the team is at home since a 20-18 loss opposite Illinois back on Oct. 23.

Let’s get ready for the latest kickoff.

Penn State-Michigan time and TV info

Kickoff is set for Noon on ABC (channel finder). Play-by-play voice Sean McDonough, PSU alum and color analyst Todd Blackledge, plus sideline reporter Molly McGrath have the television broadcast call.

The Penn State Sports Network will have the radio stream with Steve Jones, Jack Ham, and Brian Tripp. It can be found on affiliates across Pennsylvania, at GoPSUsports.com, and on Sirius/XM/Internet channels 106/175/969.

What’s the spread?

Per VegasInsider, the consensus spread is Michigan -1 as of Saturday morning. It has ping-ponged back and forth, and at times, Penn State has been listed as the favorite. It could close at pick ’em.

Tale of the coaching tape

James Franklin is 66-31 over eight seasons at Penn State, and 3-4 versus Michigan. He seeks his 91th overall head coaching victory Saturday.

Jim Harbaugh is 159-69-1 all-time, 57-23 at Michigan over seven seasons as its head coach, and 3-3 against Penn State.

Penn Stat stat leaders

Passing: Sean Clifford has completed 199 of 311 passes (63.99%) for 2,371 yards, 16 touchdowns, and six interceptions.

Rushing: Noah Cain has 293 yards on 93 carries through nine games and four touchdowns.

Receiving: Jahan Dotson’s 71 catches for 932 yards and nine touchdowns are tops on the team in all three categories.

Defense: Middle linebacker Ellis Brooks is first with 69 tackles. End Arnold Ebiketie has a team-high 13.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. Safety Ji’Ayir Brown leads with four interceptions.

Special teams: Jordan Stout is 13 for 18 on field goal tries, has boomed 44 of 48 kickoffs for touchbacks, and averages 46.70 yards per punt, half of which have resulted in a fair catch.

Passing: Cade McNamara has completed 130 of 208 passes (62.50%) for 1,666 yards, nine touchdowns, and two interceptions.

Rushing: Hassan Haskin leads the Wolverines in carries (165), yards (829), and touchdowns (11). Blake Corum has a 130-778-10 season line.

Receiving: Tight end Erick All has a team-high 26 receptions, but receiver Cornelius Johnson leads in yards (426) and touchdowns (three).

Defense: Linebacker Josh Ross has totaled 61 tackles so far. End David Ojabo has a team-best eight tackles for loss and eight sacks. Defensive backs Daxton Hill’s three interceptions lead the defense in that category.

Speical teams: Brad Robbins averages 44.75 yards per punt, and 16 of his 27 punts have been fair caught, while 13 have landed inside the opponent’s 20-yard-line and seven traveled 50 yards or more. Kicker Jacob Moody is 10 of 12 on field goal tries and 43 of his 67 kickoffs have resulted in touchbacks.
