Game day is here, Penn State fans, as the No. 3 Nittany Lions are now just hours away from hosting No. 4 Ohio State at Beaver Stadium. State College is buzzing as the hype builds for another top-five matchup during an already chaotic 2024 college football season. Injury issues will leave both sides with question marks before and after kickoff.

“We just stay consistent with our process,” Lions coach James Franklin said Wednesday. Is there a lot more noise? Outside. Do we start getting questions like your questions? Yes. Like I said today at the Quarterback Club: West Virginia, to open the season was a big game. Bowling Green was a big game. If you don’t think it was, lose to Bowling Green and see how people react. They’re all big games. This is a big game because of how we’ve handled the previous six. So we don’t change our process. I can’t control the noise and the things that are outside this building. But we stay consistent with how we go about our business, and I can’t control the other things.””

Added Buckeyes coach Ryan Day on Tuesday:

“What an unbelievable opportunity right here. I mean, this is a chance to go to Indianapolis is on the line and our guys are excited about playing in this game. You know, I think the defense got a lot of confidence coming off of last week, the way that they played and creating TFLs and winning the game in the fourth quarter.

“I thought they were flying around. And so if we can get the offense playing the way it has in the past combined with the way we played on defense this past week, then that’s what we’re looking for in this game.”
