No. 7 Penn State is back in action today. It’s game day again, Nittany Lions fans. Head coach James Franklin’s returns to Big Ten play and faces its biggest test of the season to date on Saturday when it invades The Horseshoe and takes on No. 3 Ohio State in Columbus.

“It’s just, when you’re in games like this, we know it can come down to one play. So everything is amped up,” Ohio State coach Rya Day said. “The consequences are higher, the stakes are higher. That’s the way you want it.”

Franklin also addressed the matchup this week.

“Tremendous challenge,” he said. “Also tremendous opportunity. We’re looking forward to going to Columbus and play this game. We’re trying to find a way to get a win this week against a really good team, against a program we got tremendous respect for, coaching staff we got a ton of respect for, the talent they have.

“But we approach to the same every single week. Everybody on the outside is talking. We’re approaching it the way we do every single week. This is a really important game. Why? Because of how we’ve handed the previous six. If we didn’t handle the previous six the right way you wouldn’t be asking that question. So each week is really important. That’s how we approach it.”
