Welcome back to game day, Penn State fans! The No. 6 Nittany Lions look to get back to its winning ways tonight when they host Washington in State College. A sold-out crowd is expected for the team’s annual White Out game. Parking lots open at 8 a.m ET. The one-way traffic pattern around Beaver Stadium goes into effect at 5:30 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m. And kickoff is in prime time.

“I think the most important thing for us is, how do we practice on Tuesday, and how do we practice on Wednesday? And I thought those practices were good,” Lions coach James Franklin said Wednesday. “I think the coaches have been good. Most importantly, we got to get better and find a way to beat Washington. We do those things over the next couple of weeks, then all the things that we want to do are still in front of us.

“Just focusing on Washington, making sure; I think we do a pretty good job the Lasch Building,” said Franklin. “But they come to press conference and they have to answer your guys questions, or you’re asking me, or they’re walking around town, or they’re walking around campus, and everybody else is talking about everything but Washington.

“So for us, we control the things that we can control. And those other things, we can’t.”
