How to Watch Penn State-West Virginia: time, channel, streaming info and more
By Greg Pickel
Penn State is ready to open the 2024 season. The Nittany Lions are just days away from invading Milan Puskar Stadium. They take on West Virginia there for the first time since 1992 on Saturday to conclude a two-year home-and-home series. Head coach James Franklin’s team kicked it off with a 38-15 win at Beaver Stadium a year ago. This year, PSU is inside of the top 10 nationally while the Mountaineers only received votes in the Associated Press top 25 and USA Today Coaches Poll.
“Our focus now is directly on West Virginia and making sure we’re in the best position to go win at a place I’ve got a ton of respect for. Neal Brown has done a great job,” James Franklin said.
“It’s a very, very challenging place to play. It’s an opener that is going to create some challenges and issues for us, and a team that I think is feeling really, really good about themselves and has a ton of confidence. They end the season winning five out of their last six games including the bowl game. They had a lot of positive momentum. The quarterback played really well. Our focus is totally on that right now.”
West Virginia sixth-year head coach Neal Brown also spoke to reporters this week.
“We had a chance to win the game in the third quarter when winning plays were required and we didn’t make those winning plays and they did,” Brown said. “And so, you know, they beat us.”
“Now we’ve got an opportunity to play them at home. And this is going to be the last time that West Virginia and Penn State are on the field together, especially here in Morgantown, for the foreseeable future. I guess we could always play in the playoff or a bowl game or something like that, but this is the last time for the foreseeable future.”
