The No. 1 Penn State wrestling team wraps up the dual meet portion of its schedule when it takes on American tonight in State College. A victory will give them 71 consecutive triumphs, putting the Nittany Lions just six wins away from breaking the all-time mark of 76 that is currently held by Oklahoma State. It’s Senior Night for the Nittany Lions. But, per the usual, that isn’t the program’s main focus.

Projected starting lineups

American broke the 10-win mark this season, which is good news for head coach Jason Borelli’s program. However, his side will be no test for Penn State at Rec Hall. The non-conference foe brings just one ranked wrestler to town, No. 32 heavyweight Will Jarrell, who will see Nittany Lion 285-pound defending NCAA champ Greg Kerkvliet if he is back in the lineup after missing last weekend’s double dual weekend due to illness.

Here’s a look at the projected starting lineups. Note that they could change after weigh-ins:

125 pounds: No. 9 Luke Liledahl, PSU vs. Coen Bainey, American

133 pounds: No. 7 Braeden Davis, PSU vs. Raymond Lopez, American

141 pounds: No. 1 Beau Bartlett, PSU vs. Elijah White, American

149 pounds: No. 2 Shayne Van Ness, PSU vs. Gage Owen, American
