Penn State wrestling has its second Bryce Jordan Center match in as many Fridays tonight when it hosts No. 19 Michigan. The 5-4 Wolverines bring numerous ranked wrestlers to town but just one starter resides in the top five. The No. 1 Nittany Lions, meanwhile, have eight top-five grapplers and seek their 67th consecutive dual meet triumph. It is the first of two matches for head coach Cael Sanderson’s side this weekend. It hosts Maryland on Sunday at Rec Hall.

“Michigan’s one of the top programs in the country,” Sanderson said Monday. “So we’re looking forward to that match, another match in the Jordan Center, and then being able to kind of turn around and wrestle Maryland, who’s wrestling really well. I mean, they’ve done a really good job there, and they’ve been very competitive.”

What time, channel, is Penn State-Michigan on?
Penn State-Michigan will air on the Big Ten Network. A broadcast crew has not yet been announced. This is the Nittany Lions’ penultimate dual meet on TV this year. Three of its final four matches will be streaming-only on B1G+.

Projected starting lineups
Before weigh-ins, there are two feature bouts on tonight’s projected lineup sheet. Both will come in the back half of the evening, assuming the meet starts at the traditional 125 pounds. At 197 pounds, Penn State sophomore Joshua Barr is scheduled to face No. 2 Jacob Cardenas, who is 14-0 on the year. Then, at heavyweight, reigning NCAA champ Greg Kerkvliet, who is No. 2 in the latest InterMat rankings, should face No. 8 Josh Heindselman, who is 17-1.
