Inside The Den: Latest intel on potential kick times for Penn State's 2025 season

There are still 116 days until Penn State hosts Nevada for its season opener, but that doesn’t mean there’s nothing to discuss. Recruiting will take most of the focus between now and the end of June, but we’ve also reached the point of the year where some kick times for the 2025 season are close to being announced.
Starting next Monday, May 12, both NBC Universal and FOX are hosting their annual “upfronts.” Disney will host its own on Tuesday, while other major networks are set for next week as well. If you’re unfamiliar with those events, they take place annually in May and are centered around networks showing potential advertisers their upcoming fall programming. Your favorite weeknight shows are a big part of those presentations, but networks also pay massive money to broadcast sports.
That’s especially true for the NFL and college football.
Ever wonder why the NFL selected next Wednesday, May 14, to announce its 2025 schedule publicly? It’s not a coincidence that it comes just a day after its primary broadcast partners host these major advertising events.
