A complete game from Penn State

Despite some impressive victories by the final score margin, Penn State hasn’t had many blowout wins to get depth players experience and live game reps this season. They got that Saturday night against Purdue. Franklin spoke about that after the game.

“I thought that was the best game we played overall, in terms of four quarters, offense, defense, special teams, complimentary football. We could play 68 players in the game, which was great. It’s going to be great from an experience standpoint.”

Pickel recaps those comments and gives his thoughts on the gulf between Purdue and Penn State from a talent and ability perspective.

Tyler Warren sines again

Pickel also highlights the production and praise for tight end Tyler Warren. The dynamic weapon gained 190 combined yards and two touchdowns in the game. Franklin responded in the affirmative when asked if Warren should be in the conversation for the Heisman Trophy.

“I stated it earlier in the year, I stated it tonight. I think Tyler Warren should be part of all of the conversations that deal with the best football player in college football. I don’t think it’s a question, and that’s all of those types of awards, including the Heisman.”
