Is Penn State-Edinboro wrestling on TV? Time, probable lineups, and more
The No. 1 Penn State wrestling team is set to close out its regular season today. The Nittany Lions welcome Edinboro to Rec Hall for what has become something of a tradition: A non-conference match to finish up the dual meet portion of the schedule on an afternoon that doubles as Senior Day.
“We try to wrestle a local school if we can or somebody that we can bring in,” Lions coach Cael Sanderson said Tuesday. “Edinboro was willing and happy to come in. So, it’s the senior night and stuff. We don’t put a lot of emphasis on that, because it’s really not senior night. I mean, you know, Saturday night of the NCAA Tournament is senior night, really, for those guys, not just the dual meet. But it is for the fans, and most of the fans, this will be the last chance to get to see them in person.”

What will we be watching for?
Edinboro (2-11) brings no ranked wrestlers to State College. The Fighting Scots travel and start a freshman heavy lineup. How many of those wrestlers will face returning All-Americans and/or national champions? That’s what we are watching for on Sunday. Sanderson said Tuesday that some wrestlers, like 133-pound starter Aaron Nagao, would be off the mat at least during the early part of the week to recover from illness or other ailments that are currently a problem. How many, if any, continue their time off through Sunday won’t be known until weigh-ins take place at approximately Noon ET.

“I would hope so,” Sanderson said when asked if all of his starters would be available for the match. “We’re still few days out. So we’ll see when we get closer. But like I said, we got guys that won’t be practicing for a few days [while] still trying to get healthy.”
