It’s decision day for Class of 2026 recruit Daniel Jennings. The Princeton, W. Va., four-star edge rusher will pick between two programs, one of which is Penn State. Will the Lions land him? We preview the latest announcement below on the heels of a two-win weekend in the next cycle for head coach James Franklin’s program, which landed Delaware three-star receiver Jahsiear Rogers Friday and Harrisburg four-star lineman Kevin Brown on Saturday.

Tracking Jennings’ recruitment to date

Jennings’ recruitment started back in October of 2022 when he took his first unofficial visit. That trip took him to Marshall. His first offer would come in January of 2023. It, unsurprisingly, came from in-state school West Virginia. Penn State did not wait too much longer to extend an offer. It did so in March of 2023. The then-freshman has since racked up plenty of interest and also claims an Illinois offer. He likely has more offers than his recruiting profile shows as he stopped reporting them on his social media pages during his sophomore season.

Jennings is the nation’s No. 236 prospect in the On3 Industry Rankings for the Class of 2026. He is the No. 23 edge and No. 1 player in his home state.

Who are the finalists besides Penn State?

Penn State has hosted him more than any other program. It has had him on campus four times, including for last weekend’s Lasch Bash. The Mountaineers are second with two visits. Those two are the only ones the 6-foot-2, 225-pound edge rusher is deciding between tonight.

“I’ve narrowed it down to two schools. Both programs have showed me a lot of love, but one program has separated itself,” Jennings wrote on Twitter.
