Landon Tengwall inks new NIL deal with Lions Legacy Club
Landon Tengwall and a group of his Penn State football teammates are back from a recent philanthropic trip to Guatemala with the Soles 4 Soles organization. Settled in for the next two months of offseason work ahead of the 2023 campaign, the Nittany Lion offensive lineman will be doing so with a new NIL arrangement.
Announced Wednesday afternoon by Lions Legacy Club, a Penn State football NIL collective, Tengwall has received a new car as part of an NIL deal with the organization.
The agreement continues what has been a steady pursuit of NIL opportunities for Tengwall, including multiple charitable pursuits. Last fall, that took shape most notably as a children’s book partnership with author Andy Vodopia. Entitled “The Men Up Front,” Tengwall’s life story was the subject of a 32-page illustrated book.
Tengwall has also taken part in a meet-and-greet with Lions Legacy Club for an event in Annapolis alongside teammates. That came ahead of his trip to Guatemala in which Penn State players distributed more than 500 pairs of shoes to children in just a two-hour stretch.

Landon Tengwall next steps
Tengwall returned to action this spring with the Nittany Lions following an extended absence during the 2022 season. Injured ahead of Penn State’s unbeaten showdown at Michigan in October, the starting guard was unable to return the rest of the season.
Rehabilitating through the winter months after his surgery, Tengwall returned to battle with J.B. Nelson throughout the spring. The pair is now set up to continue that progression through the summer months.
Beginning his career with the Nittany Lions in 2021, Tengwall took a redshirt while playing in three games during his debut season. That led into a 2022 campaign in which he started all five of the opening games of the season at left guard before suffering the pregame injury at Michigan.
