The Big Ten has announced its 2024 individual award winners and also its All-Big Ten teams. How did Penn State players make out? See that recap here. And, click here to see which players from across the conference made one of the coaches or media all-conference teams in addition to who won each award. You can see a real-time review of how it all played out Tuesday on the Big Ten Network below.

That’s it for this year’s honors

Penn State defensive end Abdul Carter is the Big Ten defensive player of the year and defensive lineman of the year. Tyler Warren is the Big Ten tight end of the year. Blue-White Illustrated has a full recap of who made the All-Big Ten teams at the links in the paragraph above.

Michigan’s Dominic Zvada (kicker), Eddie Czapalicki (punter), and Iowa’s Kaden Wetjen (returner) earn special teams player of the year honors

Those were just announced.

Penn State tight end Tyler Warren is the Big Ten tight end of the year, Iowa’s Kaleb Johnson is the conference’s running back of the year

12/03/2024 11:43:54 AM

Neither is any great surprise and both are deserving picks.

Penn State long snapper Tyler Duzansky is a third-team All-Big Ten pick of the media

The awards show is entering its final 15 minutes.

Indiana coach Curt Cignetti is the unanimous Big Ten coach of the year

12/03/2024 11:29:58 AM

The least surprising news of the day. He turned the Hoosiers around and into an 11-1 team that is on the cusp of a College Football Playoff appearance.

More Penn State defenders make All-Big Ten teams

12/03/2024 11:27:16 AM

Lions linebacker Kobe King is a unanimous second-team choice, as is safety Jaylen Reed. Cornerback AJ Harris is a unanimous third-team selection. It is certainly quite incredible that Penn State defensive tackle Zane Durant did not make one of the first three teams. But, he should surely find himself on the honorable mention list.

Iowa linebacker Jay Higgins is the Big Ten linebacker of the year, and Ohio State safety Caleb Downs is the Big Ten defensive back of the year

12/03/2024 11:23:20 AM

Both were just announced on BTN. Indiana DL Mikail Kamara is a unanimous first-team All-Big Ten selection, as well. Same for Minnesota DB Koi Perich.

Abdul Carter is the defensive lineman of the year in the Big Ten, and the Big Ten defensive player of the year

12/03/2024 11:17:36 AM

He is also a unanimous first-team All-Big Ten selection.

Before it, we saw the second- and third-team All-Big Ten offense list. Penn State guard Vega Ioane is a unanimous second-team selection. And, Lions guard Sal Wormley is a third-team selection of the media.

Ohio State receiver Jeremiah Smith is the Big Ten receiver and freshmen of the year

12/03/2024 11:08:44 AM

Certainly no surprise there. He is the first to pull off that daily double since Purdue’s Rondale Moore did.

They’re off and running on BTN

Tyler Warren is a first-team All-Big Ten pick. Dillon Gabriel, the Oregon quarterback, is the Big Ten offensive player of the year. Full first-team offense is embedded below:
