Penn State’s biggest camp of the year, the White Out Camp, gets underway around 1 p.m. ET.
While the camp is open publicly, many of today’s participants will play at college football’s highest level. Last year’s event not only featured a handful of future players – Anthony Donkoh, J’ven Williams, Lamont Payne, to name a few – but we also saw breakout performances from prospects like wide receiver Jerrae Hawkins, who’s currently taking an official visit to Penn State this weekend. Top 50 prospect Liam Andrews also shined, putting up some impressive testing times for a player his size.
Today’s camp likely won’t be as deep as we’ve seen in some years, but there are undoubtedly a few players who will emerge with a scholarship offer at some point down the road.
Some already hold an offer from the Nittany Lions, including 2025 prospects Rowan Byrne, Jourdin Houston and Adam Shovlin. Houston, who grew up in New York and now plays at St. Thomas More in Connecticut, camped at Penn State last July. We expect him to be among the top performers from a testing perspective.
Trinity’s Messiah Mickens is arguably the most decorated prospect expected in attendance. The Class of 2026 prospect – who also happens to be coached by former Nittany Lions Jordan Hill and Michael Mauti – already holds 18 scholarship offers. In addition to Penn State, top programs like Alabama, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Tennessee and Texas A&M have all offered.
Nittany Lion fans, stay up to date all afternoon on the top prospects and how they’re performing.
