Questions in the room
On late passing success:
They were playing softer coverage knowing it had become a two score game. Also made some plays.
On wide receiver development:
When you look at today and the combination of lack of success on third down and explosive plays, have to look at that hard. Things they can do in terms of how they’re calling plays. And from fundamentals. But Drew needs guys to make plays on a more consistent basis, no doubt about it.
On the double pass to KLS:
Tried to call a trick play to get a huge momentum play. They covered it. It didn’t work.
On complementary football and capitalizing on offense:
Have to be better on third down. Have been good there all year long. Not today. Gotta be willing to throw it over their heads and be aggressive against stacked box.
On scoop and score called back:
They called defensive holding. Obviously a huge call in the game. Significant. But can’t say how it looked.

On Drew’s play:
Called and managed the game to put him in the best situation to be successful and weren’t able to do that today, for a number of reasons. Will look at it, run pass percentage. Especially when you take two minute at the end out. See efficiency.
Opening statement
Give Ohio State a ton of credit. Not sure if we didn’t just watch two of the best teams in college football, specifically on defensive side of the ball. Went into this knowing needed to limit impact of Marvin in the game. Didn’t do that. Give him credit.
But story of the game came down to third down. Couldn’t stay on the field on offense on third downs, which was biggest component to the game.
