Barr upsets Beard
12/08/2024 02:57:16 PMNo. 23 Penn State redshirt freshman Joshua Barr has upset No. 6 Michael Beard. And, he did so decisively. The Nittany Lion scored an 11-3 major decision. It’s safe to say few, if anyone, saw that kind of a result coming. Penn State leads Lehigh 31-3 with one bout to go.
Carter Starrocci wins but Penn State loses a team point
12/08/2024 02:45:35 PMCarter Starocci beat Lehigh’s Jack Wilt 15-1 by major decision at 184 pounds. The Lions were penalized a team point after the match. So, Penn State now leads 27-3. It is currently unclear why the Lions lost a team point as reported by the program’s official account. But it was assessed to Starocci, per Brad Wilson of Lehigh Valley Live.
Levi Haines picks up a fall
12/08/2024 02:33:34 PMLeading 7-0 in the second period, Penn State sophomore Levi Haines locked up Rylan Rogers in a turning combination and decked the Mountain Hawk at the 4:12 mark of their 174-pound match. Penn State leads Lehigh 24-3 and will win this dual with three bouts to go.
Mitchell Mesenbrink comes out firing, wins by technical fall

Tyler Kasak beats Logan Rozynski, Lions lead 13-3 at the break
12/08/2024 02:09:06 PMPenn State sophomore Tyler Kasak made a takedown, an escape, and a stalling point stand up in a 5-2 win over Lehigh freshman Logan Rozynski at 157 pounds. Kasak gave up an escape and stalling point. The Lions lead 13-3 after five matches.
Van Ness earns a major decison
12/08/2024 01:54:10 PMShayne Van Ness beats Matt Repos, a Lehigh redshirt freshman, by technical fall, 17-3, with a takedown with one second left. The Nittany Lion had four takedowns and 1:57 in riding time. Penn State leads Lehigh 10-3 after 149 pounds.
Beau Bartlett wins, Lions lead 6-3

Crookham beats Davis 4-2

Lilledahl beats Seymour; Penn State leads 3-0
12/08/2024 01:19:32 PMAfter the pair each secured an escape to make the bout 1-1, Seymour shot late and Lilledahl quickly countered and slid behind Seymour for a late takedown to win, 4-1. The Lions lead 3-0.
