Live Updates: Penn State commits perform at the State College Elite 11

The Elite 11 has made its way to State College and there’s no shortage of future Penn State players participating in the event. Of course, the Elite 11 is primarily a quarterback camp, and both Troy Huhn and Peyton Falzone are expected to participate this afternoon.
A few years ago, the event also added other prospects under the ‘All-22’ banner. Offensive and defensive linemen kick off today’s event this morning, followed by running backs and linebackers up until about 11:30 AM ET.
Quarterbacks, wide receivers and defensive backs will then work out from roughly 12 pm to 3 pm ET. Blue White Illustrated’s Sean Fitz, Thomas Frank Carr and Ryan Snyder are all in attendance at State College High School. Penn State fans can follow along for updates throughout the day.
Good Morning from State College
05/18/2025 09:40:47 AMOffensive linemen are on the field now. 2026 prospect Carter Scruggs was on the attendance list but did not make the trip. Penn State commit Roseby Lubintus was also on the roster but is not in attendance. That leaves 2027 commit Layton von Brandt as the most notable name currently out on the field for the offensive line. Future Penn State defensive tackle Isaac Chukwurah is also in attendance.

Elite 11 adds S2 Cognitive test to camp
05/18/2025 09:47:22 AMThe Elite 11 has started testing quarterbacks mentally this year with the addition of the S2 Cognition Test, which is designed to evaluate how quickly and accurately athletes process information in competitive environments.

All eyes on von Brandt to start the day
05/18/2025 09:51:20 AMRunning backs and linebackers are starting up soon, but for now, 2027 commit Layton von Brandt has most of the media’s attention. BWI’s Thomas Frank Carr has been impressed with von Brandt’s movement skills throughout the start of camp.
2028 QB Charles Scott looks the part
05/18/2025 09:58:29 AMQuarterbacks have started warming up for their workouts later this afternoon and 2028 prospect Charles Scott immediately caught the eye of our staff. At 6-4, 210 pounds, Scott already holds seven scholarship offers, including Florida State, SMU, Syracuse and Virginia Tech. He’s also taken visits in recent months to North Carolina, Rutgers and Tennessee.

Penn State DL Isaac Chukwurah wins DL MVP
05/18/2025 10:42:08 AMPenn State picked up a surprise commitment from defensive tackle Isaac Chukwurah last month. The Delaware native was a late addition to today’s All-22 camp and he made the opportunity count, winning defensive line MVP. Chukwurah won multiple reps in a variety of ways, showing both his strength and a solid array of hand moves for a player his age. While he’s now the biggest at 6-2, 260 pounds, Chukwurah has a compact build that’ll give Penn State’s strength program plenty to work with in the coming years.

05/18/2025 10:49:24 AMFuture Peyton Falzone quarterback runs the 40
05/18/2025 10:51:59 AMThe Elite 11 doesn’t immediately provide feedback on how players perform, but the future Penn State quarterback has previous ran the 40 in the 4.5-second range at 6-5, 200 pounds.
Falzone & Huhn warming up
05/18/2025 11:26:43 AMWhen Peyton Falzone committed about a month ago, he admitted that he had never really spoken with Troy Huhn. The two have been getting to know each other since then, and now they’re both warming up together at the Elite 11 in State College.
Huhn off to a strong start
05/18/2025 11:34:25 AMThe future Nittany Lion quarterback is already earning praise from the Elite 11 staff.

Huhn and Falzone both show signs of their potential
05/18/2025 01:03:10 PMWith one-on-ones about to begin shortly, California native Troy Huhn has looked the best between the two so far. In multiple drills, Huhn has been praised by coaches in a variety of areas, most notably for his footwork and accuracy. Falzone undoubtedly has one of the strongest arms in attendance today, but is still clearly working to refine his mechanics now that he’s working with quarterback trainer Brad Maendler.
Elite 11 Wrapping Up
05/18/2025 02:04:01 PMBoth Huhn and Falzone performed well. Troy was one of the most consistent players at the event and should rank among the best here. Multiple coaches have praised Huhn for his consistency. His arm and footwork impressed.
Multiple coaches noted that Falzone’s footwork needs to improve, which is what we already knew about the four-star from Nazareth. That’s why he’s working with Brad Maendler. However, no one questions his arm’s potential. We didn’t get to watch every QB throughout the day, but I’d be surprised if anyone here surpassed his arm strength.
Elite 11 Finals invite
05/18/2025 02:26:03 PMFuture Washington Huskies QB Derek Zammit is the only player who immediately earned an Elite 11 Finals invite today. Others are expected to be invited after the staff reviews film.
I’d genuinely be surprised if Huhn didn’t earn an invite in the coming days/weeks.
