Penn State tweets of the day
We start with new Penn State offers.
The Lions joined the race for three Class of 2023 prospects on Thursday. They extended an offer to Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Dillard High three-star running back Christopher Johnson, Converse, Tex., Judson receiver Anthony Evans, and Greenwich, Conn., Brunswick tackle Miles Walker.
Johnson now joins a running backs board for Penn State that is headlined by Florida four-star Treyaun Webb and Scranton four-star London Montgomery. The top of the receiver board, then, has too many players to count as the Lions have now offered 50 players at the position. They also have a commitment there from New Jersey four-star Ejani Shakir. As for Walker, he’s the latest tackle added to position coach Phil Trautwein’s board as the Lions look to land a couple of them in this cycle.
Penn State also offered the following underclassmen Tayshawn Banks, a 2024 safety from Ohio.
Next, we have NIL news. Tight end Brenton Strange, safety Ji’Ayir Brown, and defensive tackle PJ Mustipher will appear at an event for the collective Success with Honor on Friday. They will be at a meet and greet from 1:30-2:30 p.m. at the All Sports Museum in State College. Details can be found in the tweet below.
