New 2026 NFL mock drafts have more good news for Penn State players, even if one of them comes with a surprising prediction. Those headline today’s newsstand.

Highly-regarded draft analyst and prospect evaluator Dane Brugler of The Athletic has one current Nittany Lion going in next year’s top 32. Unsurprisingly, it’s quarterback Drew Allar, who is listed as going at No. 5 to the Cleveland Browns.

“Had Allar declared for the 2025 NFL Draft, he might have been the No. 2 pick (to his hometown Cleveland Browns),” Brugler writes. “But he returned to school to further his development. If he continues to improve, he will be in the top-five conversation next April.”

For Pro Football Focus, Max Chadwick and Dalton Wasserman have Allar going at No. 14 to the Steelers. He is followed by defensive end Dani Dennis-Sutton to Detroit at No. 27 and cornerback AJ Harris to the Eagles at No. 31.

“Harris can succeed on the outside or in the slot and has excellent instincts in zone coverage while being very technically refined overall,” the duo writes. “”He finished his sophomore year as one of the 10 most valuable cornerbacks in the nation, according to PFF’s Wins Above Average metric, while allowing only 0.76 yards per coverage snap.”

FOX Sports’ Rob Rang puts himself on an island by not having Allar going in the first round. But, he does have Penn State running back Nick Singleton going to the Cardinals at No. 12, Dennis-Sutton to the Dolphins at No. 13, and Harris to the Chargers at No. 22.

Quote of the day

ClemsonMichiganPenn State and Tennessee are my top four schools. I will commit to one of those on July 11. It was hard to get it down to four schools. I am so blessed to have so many schools want me to come to play for them. So, getting down to around 8 to 10 schools was tough. But to get down to four was very difficult.

“I have built some great relationships with great coaches. So, it was tough to tell some schools no. But what set these four schools apart for me were the culture, the programs, my relationship with the coaches and the possibility to win a national championship and the Joe Moore award.”
