Penn State head coach James Franklin’s offseason circuit of speaking engagements in support of the program’s name, image, and likeness efforts officially tacked on a stop on Wednesday. Announced by Happy Valley United, the collective that supports the program, a new “We Are… in NEPA” event has been added to the docket.

The NIL fundraising dinner and reception is set for June 6 from 6-9 p.m. It will be held at the Fox Hill Country Club in Exeter, Pa. The venue sits just outside Pittston, Pa., between Scranton and Wilkes Barre in northeast Pennsylvania. A VIP reception is being held for an hour before the main event. Tickets for the main reception are $125 for individuals, $250 for a pair, $350 for four, and $450 for six.

Joining Franklin, who is the headliner for the event, will be a selection of current and former Nittany Lions. Among them, Happy Valley United detailed receivers Liam Clifford and Julian Fleming among the attendees. Quarterback Beau Pribula, running back Kaytron Allen, tight ends Tyler Warren and Andre Rappleyea, center Nick Dawkins, linebackers Dominic DeLuca and Tyler Elsdon, and defensive tackle D’Von Ellies will also be in attendance.

From the event landing page:

“Join Penn State football student-athletes, coaches and lettermen for evening of autographs, dinner and fun in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Held at the Fox Hill Country Club in Exeter, the event will provide Penn State fans in the region with opportunities to meet James Franklin as well as their favorite current and former Nittany Lions all while supporting the team’s NIL fund.”

The inaugural Penn State Golf Tournament was held on April 29 at the West Shore Country Club. It was followed on May 9 in Philadelphia with a “We Are… in Philly” event at the Bellevue Hotel. Capping the summer, HVU will put on its third annual “We Are… at the shore” event just outside Avalon, N.J.

Coming out of the Philadelphia event, Jen Ferrang, General Manager of Development and Corporate Sponsorship for HVU, stressed the value of the experience.

“I walked out of there and I said, ‘That was so much fun,” she said. “To see the energy and to get that kind of access and to be able to talk to them about what they’re seeing, what they’re thinking, was really amazing for me. I think the more people that can see that and feel that, the more interest we will get.”
