Penn State 7-on-7 camp photo gallery
Penn State football hosted 16 teams for its first 7-on-7 and Big Man Challenge of June this past Friday. Check out a photo gallery of the players and coaches who attended the event. There were plenty of current Nittany Lions on hand to check out their former schools and some on hand to check out the show. The Lions secondary was well represented, with Dakaari Nelson, KJ Winston, Zakee Wheatley, and others in attendance.
Penn State players, prospects, and future targets
The team had several top targets on teams competing in the tournament Friday. Imani Christian is an up-and-coming team in the Pittsburgh area. Commit for 2025, Dayshaun Burnett played tight end and linebacker during the tournament, with several critical catches during the competition.
Meanwhile, teammate David Davis is a 2026 running back with a three-star, 89 overall rating from On3. He’s the 243rd player in the On3 Industry Rankings and holds an offer from Penn State.
Finally, we got our first glimpse of the new addition to the Penn State roster, Dejuan Lane.
Other prospects to know
It wasn’t just Winston who had the eye of the recruiting community from the Gonzaga squad. Linebacker in the 2025 cycle, Aidan Foster stood out from the crowd. BWI previously identified Foster as Kedric Golston II, the son of former NFL defensive lineman, Kedric Golston, who transferred out of Gonzaga this offseason. Foster has a pass breakup against the eventual winner of the 7-on-7 tournament, Roman Catholic.

The Penn State ties were abundant this weekend. Chris Tangelo is a wide receiver for the Bullis School and the younger brother of former Penn State defensive tackle Derrick Tangelo.
Roman Catholic comes away with the championship
It was apparent early that the best team in the camp was Roman Catholic High School Out of Philadelphia. The powerhouse school went 4-0 and scored 108 points behind quarterback Semaj Beals, who holds a Penn State offer for 2026. Receivers Malik Williams and Tayden Mines, among others, provided an explosive deep passing attack that few other teams could match.
