Penn State adds New Jersey offensive tackle Roseby Lubintus to Class of 2026

Penn State has picked up its second offensive lineman in the Class of 2026, adding New Jersey native Roseby Lubintus on Friday evening.
A 6-foot-5, 350-pound offensive tackle, Lubintus just visited Penn State this past Monday, April 21. The Nittany Lions came into that trip already considered the team to beat for the Timber Creek prospect. Once it was finished, it was just a matter of time until he officially announced his decision.
“I would say this was one of the better visits I’ve had to any school that I’ve been to,” Lubintus said. “Everything about this visit was centered around me and making sure I knew everything that I could potentially be getting myself into, even beyond the football aspect of it. I walked every inch around campus and I learned about everything. I learned a lot about the kind of school Penn State is.

“But I also spent time meeting every coach and that made this a really important day for me. I got to talk to Coach Franklin a good amount of the time. I got to meet Malachi Goodman, too. We hit it off. I think we have really good compatibility. Watching their practice, I could tell Penn State would be a great fit for me.”
Over the past year, Lubintus totaled 14 scholarship offers. He took an official visit to Syracuse two weeks ago, April 12-14, and also had trips planned to West Virginia (June 6-8) and Michigan State (June 13-15) after that.
Just two days ago, coaches from Florida stopped by Timber Creek to meet with Lubintus, while schools like Alabama and N.C. State were also stepping up their interest. However, by this point, his relationship with Penn State’s coaching staff was too strong for any school to beat out.
“I like the way Coach Traut does it,” Lubintus said. “He’s all about finding out the kind of person you are first and building a bond with you. Coach Franklin is one of those people who’s not afraid to tell you the truth. Coach Traut is the same way, too. They’re going to tell you what it is before you ever step into it. Everybody would want that. I feel like that’s the best of my recruitment with them.

“But also, I’ve been talking to Coach Traut for a while now. He’s taken time to get to know my mom. Not a lot of other coaches can say that.”

It also didn’t hurt that Penn State was the first school to offer Lubintus in March 2024. At the time, his film was limited, and a lot still needed to be learned. Lubintus pointed to Penn State’s commitment to him throughout this process as another significant reason why he had no reason to wait this out.
“Penn State was my first offer and they’re still here,” he said. “A lot of schools have offered, but I haven’t talked to them since the season. With Penn State, I knew from the start that my offer was progressive because I didn’t have much film and things like that. They’ve stuck it out with me to see what I could do, and that really sticks with me. That takes things to a whole different level.”
Lubintus is the 13th player to join Penn State’s class. He holds a three-star rating by On3 and is ranked No. 53 at offensive tackle and No. 8 overall in New Jersey.
