Indianapolis, Ind. — Big Ten Media Days are here. And, Penn State is among the teams who will speak first. The two-day extravaganza that unofficially kicks off the 2023 college football season starts Wed., July 26 here at Lucas Oil Stadium with an opening address and news conference with first-year league commissioner Tony Petitti

From there, coaches and players from seven schools, plus Big Ten officiating coordinator Bill Carollo and numerous NBC Sports personalities, will meet with reporters inside the cavernous home of the NFL’s Colts. Then, on Thursday, Day 2 will be held.

Here’s everything you need to know to get ready for Day 1.

When will Penn State be on Big Ten Network today?

Penn State will make two appearances during the Big Ten Network’s daylong live coverage. Head coach James Franklin will be behind the podium on live television at Noon ET. He and the team’s player representatives, which include defensive end Adisa Isaac, safety Keaton Ellis, and left tackle Olu Fashanu, will then be on the network’s set sometime in the afternoon at a to-be-determined time.

What is the full podium speech schedule?

Here it is, per the Big Ten. Each will be televised on BTN:

What will we be listening for?

A number of headline-worthy topics are on the agenda. First, what the Penn State players and Franklin will say lead the way. But, Northwestern interim head coach Dave Braun will speak before the leader of the Lions. It will be his first public appearance since taking over for the now-fired Pat Fitzgerald amid a hazing scandal within the school’s athletic department. Ohio State will also be on hand, and some Penn State questions will come up to its head coach Ryan Day and his players, and vice versa.

Pettini is presiding over his first Big Ten Media Days, and the last before USC and UCLA join the conference. Both will be discussed plenty, without question.

There will be plenty of other news and notes, too. Join us for complete coverage from Lucas Oil Stadium.
