Penn State basketball’s game against Minnesota scheduled for Wednesday evening has been postponed.

Positive COVID-19 tests within the Minnesota program caused the postponement, according to a Penn State release.

“Penn State and Minnesota will work with the Big Ten Conference on potential options to reschedule the game,” the release stated.

This is the fourth game of the season impacted by COVID-19 protocols for Penn State.

Those three games were not rescheduled.

PSU sits at 3-4 in the Big Ten and 8-7 overall after a loss to Ohio State last Sunday.

I could not be more excited to have Rhian Davis and Chuck Losey join our sport performance team as department heads,” Penn State senior associate athletic director for student-athlete performance/SWA, health and welfare Lauren Rhodes said in a released statement.

“Deege’s retirement announcement presented us with the opportunity to evaluate our performance enhancement unit structure, which led to a decision to form Olympic sport and football branches under the greater umbrella. After conducting a national search, it became quite clear just who would lead these areas.”
