Penn State Blue-White game: Blue beats White 10-0: Recap
STATE COLLEGE — Penn State will play its annual Blue-White game at 2 p.m. today. This is your home for live updates before, during, and after the controlled scrimmage at Beaver Stadium.
Rainy conditions greeted the team when it arrived here at the 107,000-seat venue around 11:45 a.m. Big Ten Network is televising the contest, and besides the updates that will flow in this post, you can discuss the game with fellow fans inside The Lions Den forum.

Game logistics
- The Blue Team will be on the visitor’s sideline and the White Team will be on the home sideline.
- The game will be four quarters with an 11-minute running clock, with clock stoppages on change of possession and penalties.
- The clock will run during special teams.
- The last two minutes of the second and fourth quarters will be real, game-like timing.
- Each team has two timeouts.
- There will be a 12-minute halftime.
There is no special scoring system this year.

Second quarter Blue-White game updates
2:44 — The first half is over. It’s Blue 10, White 0.
2:37 — There is 1:14 left in the first half. It’s been a very defense-driven second quarter.
2:31 — It’s now 10-0 Blue team. Alex Felkins just made a 22-yard field goal.
2:27 — Beau Pribula is getting some run for the Blue team. He just hit Omari Evans for a big gain down to the White team’s three-yard-line.
First quarter Blue-White game updates
2:21 — The first quarter is over. Team Blue leads Team White, 7-0.
2:16 — Touchdown, Blue team. Drew Allar just hit Omari Evans for a 28-yard touchdown.
2:14 — The Blue team is gaining some traction here. Allar hit Allen for one first down, and then Allen just ran for another one as the Blue team gets up to the White 30.
2:10 — White team goes three and out after Daequan Hardy broke up a third down pass. Kaden Saunders was the punt returner for the Blue team.
2:09 — We have our first completion, as White team quarterback Beau Pribula hit Malik McClain for a short gain. Keaton Ellis and Zakee Wheatley start for the first-team defense.
2:07 — A quick and ugly three and out for the blue team. Drew Allar’s third down pass was well short of Omari Evans. Riley Thompson gets the first punt.
2:06 p.m. — Drew Shelton starts at left tackle and Caedan Wallace at right tackle. Starting defensive line is Amin Vanover, Jordan van den Berg, Kaleb Artis, and Dani Dennis-Sutton from right to left.
2:05 p.m. — We are underway. Sander Sahaydak kicked off to Nicholas Singleton.
Penn State Blue-White game pregame updates
2:01 p.m. — Olu Fashanu, Keaton Ellis, and Dom DeLuca are the three Nittany Lions lining up as captains for the coin toss.
1:56 p.m. — Kickoff will be delayed a bit for TV, it appears. The countdown clock is suggesting 2:03 p.m. ET start.
1:44 p.m. — Zion Tracy is not in uniform either today. During warmups, Caedan Wallace was the right tackle and Drew Shelton the left tackle. Olu Fashanu was in uniform but just a spectator.
1:38 p.m. — First and last kick of warmups goes to Alex Felkins with Riley Thompson holding.
1:24 — Jaylen Reed is not dressed for the game today.
12:50 — Other players who won’t participate today include tight ends Tyler Warren and Theo Johnson, linebackers Tyler Warren and Dom DeLuca, offensive linemen Ibrahim Traore and Anthony Donkoh, and defensive tackle Coziah Izzard.
12:45 p.m. — Penn State has started team warmups. Defensive tackle Hakeem Beamon was in a sweatsuit during the early part of individual warmups. It doesn’t look like he’ll be playing today.
