Penn State Blue-White spring game FAQs: Rosters, game logistics, parking info, more

Penn State closes out spring practice with the 2025 Blue-White game on Saturday. Head coach James Franklin insists that the action on the field will be similar to what his program has done in past spring finales. But, it will still be “non-traditional” in many ways.
“We will start with two skellies (seven-on-seven drills),” Franklin said. “Then the first quarter will go THUD, so everybody can get reps. Then we’ll transition second quarter, third quarter, fourth quarter will be live, so we can evaluate those guys in the stadium. Kicking will be on air like it’s been in the past.
“I think each quarter is maybe a minute shorter than it’s been than you guys are used to. But it’ll be very similar kind of what we’ve done in the past.”
Ahead of Saturday, here’s a list of frequently asked questions to get you ready to either attend or follow along as the Lions put the pads on for the final time until August.
How will the rosters be split up?
You can see the Team Blue and Team White rosters in the embedded photos below:

What are the logistics for the on-field portion of things?
There will be a pre-game kickoff competition. From there, each quarter will be 11 minutes long. The clock runs except for the final two minutes of each half. Then, traditional timing takes over. The first half will be THUD, which is wrapping up the ball carrier but not taking him to the ground. Second half action will be live. Each team has two timeouts. And, all special teams work is on air.
Is the Blue-White game on TV and radio?
No. Franklin said he insisted it not be due to “the changes that we’re making.” He presumably meant the transfer portal. At any rate, you will likely be able to find some social media clips of the action. However, there will not be a live stream or replay available.
There will be a radio broadcast, however. LionVision is the home of Penn State Athletics’ audio streams. You can click here to access the feed.
Is it free to attend?
Yes. But, parking is not free for everyone. For those who do not have a pass from last season, you can use A CREDIT CARD ONLY to pay $20 per car or $60 per RV or bus and park in a general lot. Those are lots 12, 22, 34, 38, 39, 45. Refer to the map below to locate those lots.

Is the game day one-way traffic pattern in effect?
No.
When does the team arrive, and when is the autograph session?
Penn State will arrive in the iconic Blue Buses around 11 a.m. ET. They will then break up into groups for a free autograph session. That runs from 11:35 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Here is where you can find each position group:
–Gate A: Linebackers & Defensive Line
–Gate B/All-Sports Museum: Quarterbacks, Wide Receivers, Specialists
–Gate E: Running Backs & Offensive Line
–Legacy Plaza: Tight Ends & Defensive Backs
Per Penn State: “Players will only sign the specialty poster that is available courtesy of West Shore Home. No other items will be permitted to be signed.”
What time can I go into Beaver Stadium, and where can I sit?
It should be no surprise that things will be different this year due to the ongoing construction at Beaver Stadium. Those with club and suite access can enter at 11 a.m. ET. The rest of the gates open at 12:30 p.m. Only Gates A and E are available for entry ot the stadium.
As for seating options, the current plan is to have all of the north, south, and east seats available. The west side will be closed due to construction. Find a map with gates and seating charts below.
