Top Penn State Class of 2026 commit Kevin Brown shined at the Rivals Five-Star Challenge event on Tuesday in Indianapolis. A recap of his performance headlines today’s newsstand. The Harrisburg, Pa., High standout was named the offensive line MVP and checked in at No. 7 on On3’s top 10 performers list.

“Kevin Brown was one of the more dominant blockers during 1-on-1s at Rivals Five-Star,” On3 scout Cody Bellaire writes. “His strength, foot speed, and understanding of leverage made for a very high win rate. Brown burst out of his stance and used his developed lower body to easily anchor on contact. He shut out four-star EDGE Kevin Ford twice, beat USC four-star defensive line commit Tomuhini Topui, and completely blanked four-star EDGE Jake Kreul.”

Brown is healthy again after missing much of his junior season due to injury. The 6-foot-5, 260-pound prospect is a four-star recruit in the On3 Industry Rankings, ranking as the No. 53 overall player, No. 3 interior offensive lineman, and No. 2 player in the Keystone State.

In other news, it’s decision day for four-star Minnesota athlete Pierce Petersohn. He will pick between Minnesota and Penn State. He has not yet announced when his choice will be made public. The Class of 2026 prospect is coming off of an official visit to see the Nittany Lions. He stands 6-foot-5, 190 pounds and could play both sides of the ball at the next level, although PSU likes him best as a tight end.

“Coach Howle is a great guy. He’s like coach [James] Franklin, how they’re both down to earth,” he said. “I feel like I’m a big priority to them and they’re really interested in me. Also, they like the intangibles that I have, how versatile I am with my film. And, all the stuff I did in track and field season that shows my athleticism.”
