Penn State learned three major decisions for the 2025 season on Monday. Running backs Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen plus defensive end Dani Dennis-Sutton will all be back next fall. In the other direction, receivers Mehki Flowers and Tyler Johnson, safety Tyrece Mills, and cornerback Cam Miller all hit the transfer portal. Could more decisions happen today? It’s certainly possible. There are many stay or go decisions still to make with classes now underway.
In other news, Tom Allen is expected to become the new defensive coordinator at Clemson today. The Tigers’ Board of Trustees’ committee on compensation meets at 3 pm today. Their task is to approve a football coach’s contract. It is expected to approve Allen. He spent just one season in State College. The defense was another very good one in a long line of them under James Franklin. Whoever he hires to replace Allen will be charged with upholding that standard.
